Tables – Finding the Perfect Surface

Tables take a lot of abuse, even when they are being used for their original purpose. We put hot plates down on them; we put sweating glasses on them. We do not always clean them gently. Small children accidentally scribble on them. For all that we put our tables through, we still expect them to look pretty good, so it is important to find the right surface for your own household. A butcher block table is tough and can handle nearly anything that you put it through, but may not be the right look for you. If you find the right table, there are ways to protect it including sealants, table cloths and table pads.
