Your wood patio furniture is going to take a lot of abuse during its lifetime. If you want to extend that lifetime, you should do everything that you can to protect your wood patio furniture. Of course, you can opt to cover it, but there will times when you forget to do so or times when it will be just too late. There is no sense in running out in the pouring rain to cover furniture that is already soaking wet, after all. Using a good quality water-sealing product on your wood patio furniture will keep it looking better for a much longer time.
